Arusha Regional Commissioner, Felix Ntibenda said the number of ghost workers in the region have increased after the original investigation while some who were misappropriating state funds to restore cheat praying.
In addition, he said the region has lost Sh 1.8 billion last year due to pay ghost workers.
Speaking to journalists yesterday in Arusha, Ntibenda said the region now is tracking the accounts of the air staff to the money the government biscuits with some other ministers who were misappropriating state funds to restore cheat praying.
He said initial investigation team when he're working on exploring ghost workers discovered the region have 270 ghost workers, but until yesterday that number has increased to more than 300.
He said the two districts of Arumeru and Karatu were to ghost workers have increased.
"We are still undergoing investigation and I believe they will rise but now servants to repel air haha government funds but even if they will be sent back to court," said Ntibenda.
He said even if they brought them the money, but will be settled in court and also pursue to know why the heads of their departments were aware of these weaknesses, but they remained silent and salaries while knowing that they sabotage the government.
He stressed it is preferable they abandoned the practice of earning money through illegal because the air staff led government funds fail to do other activities besides its losses.
Middle of last month, when he made the chiefs of the new regions, President John Magufuli ordered the servants to go to track weather in their regions and so far have found more than 4,000 ghost workers.
