Prime Minister Meets With Minister Of Trade Of Oman

 
The Prime Minister said this today (Thursday, April 14, 2016) was having a discussion with the Minister of Trade of Oman, Dr. Ali Masoud Al Sunaidy Magogoni his office in Dar es Salaam.

He said that far from strengthening the industrial sector, the government also aims to improve the sectors of energy, transport and agriculture that will enable the nation to achieve its targets of achieving economies of medium.

"The manufacturing sector is an area where we want to strengthen because it will enable us to add value to products and goods produced in what also will promote youth employment. So I invite you to come to invest in the country, " he said.

The Prime Minister has also assured that the government is ready to cooperate with investors from Oman to come and invest in various sectors.

For his part, Dr. Al Sunaidy delighted with favorable investment environment in the country and that they are willing to invest in various areas, including the processing industry, which uses the technology of modern agriculture, oil, gas, and construction of the port.

Citing the definition, the minister said: "Oman has Salala port which is one of the world's best port with a capacity to unload 45 containers per hour. But also we have a popular port of Sohar industrial products that has the ability to unload 32 containers per hour, " he said.

Dk. Al Sunaidy is in for a working visit of three days being accompanied by 80 businessmen of Oman at the invitation of the NGO for the promotion of economic cooperation.

And Minister of Energy and Mines, Prof. Sospeter Muhongo said he recognized that Oman has made progress in the technology of liquefied natural gas (LNG) Tanzania believes it will gain knowledge from them.

He said the traders have the opportunity to invest Eye construction construction of fertilizer industry in the regions of Lindi and Mtwara but may also invest in the port of Tanga, Bagamoyo, Kilwa, Lindi and Mtwara which the Government plans to improve its infrastructure.
