National Electoral Commission (NEC) singled out for praise For Driving Election 2015 Peace

 
The Parliamentary Committee on Justice, Constitutional and Administrative imeipongeza National Electoral Commission to facilitate driving Presidential Election of MPs and Councillors in 2015 well and leave the country with peace, stability and security.

That was said in Dar ess Salaam yesterday by the Vice Chairman of the Committee, Hon Najma Murtaza Giga met with the management of the National Commission on Elections in the Hall of Mwalimu Nyerere Convention Center in session specifically the means of the Budget Commission of the National Electoral fiscal year 2016/2017.

Furthermore, these NEC congratulations were offered by members of both parties ie the ruling party and the opposition of the committee at different times. 

Some of the MPs is the Vice Chairman of the committee Mr. Najma Murtaza Giga (CCM), Twahir Awesu Mohammed (CUF) and Nassor Omar Suleiman (CUF).

He said it is very blessed where the institution or person does the work of pride given its reputation and to be encouraged to continue with the spirit of working hard and finally do its job more effectively not only for the benefit of its institutions but also for the nation.

In turn, Director of Elections Kailima Ramadhan told the committee that it was not easy to run and manage the 2015 General Elections and State continued to have peace and quiet for political competition was a huge amount of threatening the lives of Tanzanians.

"We did our best to do our best to follow the rules and regulations law regulating elections although insufficient budget grew especially when we started with the registration of voters using the BVR Technologies where we had registered to vote for the nomadic" said Kailima.

And Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister's Policy Coordination and Parliamentary Jenista Mhagama thanked lawmakers on behalf of the government for what they appreciate and recognize the great work done by the National Commission for Elections and promised to convey the government thought of hard to support the Commission funds for the Commission to give the Civil Society providing voter education emerged as an issue of lack of resources to the education.

The budget of the National Electoral Commission for the fiscal year 2016/2017 is the sum of Tsh 4,830,537.167 / = as finance recurrent OC Development Projects with servants' salaries.

General Election 2015 was held on October 25 where the presidential candidate who grew up on the ticket of Chama cha Mapinduzi Mh.Dkt John Beer Magufuli CCM emerged winner.
